Job Description

PHA Health, in partnership with Wellness Partners LLC, is seeking a skilled traveling phlebotomist to join our team on an as-needed basis. You must live in Nebraska to be considered for this position. In this role, you will be responsible for performing blood draws on patients in a variety of settings, including corporate offices, community centers, and preventive care clinics. You will work with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care, and that all blood samples are collected and handled properly.

Responsibilities:  

  • Travel to various locations, primarily Nebraska with less travel to surrounding states, to perform blood draws on patients as needed
  • Educate patients on the blood draw process, including any necessary preparations and aftercare instructions
  • Ensure that all blood samples are properly labeled and stored in accordance with regulations and protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, including demographic data and test results
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure high-quality patient care

  Requirements:

  • Must be located within 200 miles from McCook, Nebraska
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training program , however we are willing to train the right person
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist in a clinical or laboratory setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and limited weekends
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
