Product Manager

Salary: $200K - $250K

Location: NY

The Product Manager, Rainbow Product Family will be a key driver of growth, responsible for shaping the market success of the portfolio from strategy through execution. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring that Pions solutions are positioned effectively, supported with impactful content, and aligned with customer needs. The Product Manager will own the product roadmap, create compelling sales tools and training, and partner cross-functionally to deliver differentiated solutions that accelerate customer adoption. Success in this role requires strong market insight, the ability to translate customer voice into product and content strategies, and a passion for driving measurable business results.

Essential Functions

1. Understand product market and customer buying behavior.
2. Define and communicate product positioning.
3. Develop and execute content strategy to support customers throughout their buying journey, including collateral, presentations, white papers, and web content.
4. Develop and deliver sales tools and training.
5. Conduct market analysis and voice of customer research.
6. Support products throughout their lifecycle including product road maps, new product development and launch, pricing, and obsolescence.
7. Conduct financial analyses to assess ROI of new product concepts, including investment and sales forecasts.
8. Define, validate and update product pricing.
9. Manage and execute product launches.
10. Partner with Technical, Marketing and Sales teams to ensure coordinated execution of goals.

Travel

The position is based in Billerica and requires up to 40% international travel.

Education and Experience

1. Bachelors degree required, preferably in a life science, engineering or related field.
2. 3+ years experience in product management, product marketing, or related roles, preferably managing laboratory instrument and software for life sciences or related industry.
3. Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical/biotech market and customer workflows required; experience in drug formulation development preferred.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating customer-facing content.
5. Demonstrated ability to collect and interpret VOC to guide product development.
6. Proven track record of effective collaboration with sales, marketing, and R&D teams
7. Proficiency with MS Office
