Apply today to learn more! **_This role is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $5,000 with a two-year work commitment to UPMC! $3,000 would be paid at the start of your journey with an additional $2,000 as you move up through our career ladder._** **Responsibilities:** **General Responsibilities** + Communicate with hospital personnel, patients, and visitors; refer drug info to Staff Pharmacists. + Finalize sales; follow cash handling policies. + Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work environment. + Ensure safe storage of medications per regulations. + Keep documentation (eye wash logs, refrigerator logs, inventory logs, etc.). + Comply with laws (HIPAA, OSHA) and PBM requirements (FWA, CMS). + Practice hand hygiene. + Use computer skills for patient records. **Distribution & Filling** + Distribute medications (cassettes, emergency carts, controlled substances). + Return discontinued medications to the pharmacy. + Maintain positive service relationships during distribution. + Prepare oral medications correctly and timely. + Fill medication orders with proper labeling, counting, and stocking; initial and date products. + Completion of high school diploma or equivalent required. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal + Act 33 with renewal + Act 34 with renewal + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal **_UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran_**
