As a Medical Records Clerk, here is a big picture view of what you'll do:

Ensures all forms/documents are present, properly identified and signed.
Prepares reports, summaries, records and related forms and documents; and maintains files and records.
Organizes and evaluates medical records for completeness and accuracy.
Ensures all forms/documents are completed and properly identified and signed, and ensures all necessary information has been entered into the computer.
Communicates with physicians and other health care professionals, to clarify diagnoses or to obtain additional information.
Performs clerical tasks as directed.

A few must-haves for a Medical Records Clerk:

Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years clerical or secretarial experience
1 year medical records experience preferred
