South City Catholic Academy Learning Center, a K – 8 program to assist students with special learning needs, has an immediate opening for a Classroom Aide.
The Classroom Aide will assist the special education teachers in providing supplementary instruction, skill reinforcement, and supervision to individual students or groups of students facilitated by the special education teacher.
· A teaching degree or experience in special education is desired but not required
· Enjoy working with children
· Ability to follow directions in learning to implement lessons and/or to supervise activities as determined by the special education teacher
· Possess a good understanding of the developmental needs of children with whom they are working
· Capable of supervising students and maintaining order in a positive way.
