Description:

Lighthouse is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk (PST hours) to join its Finance team. This position is responsible for managing the full accounts payable process, supporting both month-end and year-end financial reporting, and ensuring timely and accurate financial operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle the full Accounts Payable cycle, including vendor approvals, invoice processing, PO two-way matching, and cash disbursement entries.
• Monitor the AP email inbox and coordinate with the India team to ensure timely resolution of queries.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with security procedures, supporting audits when required.
• Review invoices, identify discrepancies, and resolve unusual or questionable charges.
• Assist with new vendor setup and onboarding in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Process expense reports and handle Concur-related accounting functions.
• Provide backup support for American Express (Amex) and insurance-related accounting duties.
• Act as backup for the Purchase Order process, ensuring cross-departmental compliance.
• Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and reclassifications for AP, credit cards, accrued payables, and other accounts.
• Manage daily cash disbursements and cash transfers.
• Generate vendor balance analyses, trend reports, and cash flow forecasting reports.
• Assist with annual 1099 filings and year-end reporting.
• Support month-end close processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and organizational information.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable within a corporate setting.
• Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
• Problem-solving mindset with adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, capable of managing competing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work remotely, adhering to Pacific Standard Time (8 AM PST)

Work Environment:

• Duties performed primarily in a home office/remote setting.
• Requires computer use, phone communication, and reading of printed material.
• Occasionally may require work outside normal hours, including evenings or weekends.
